I discovered John on a Christian website. We were exchanging views on our faith and religion. During conversation, I discovered he was a Jeweller, and checked out his website. I told him about the gold bridge I had removed from my mouth, years ago. I ask if he would make me a cross, and expressed to him that I was a Methodist. The design he came up with was very similar to the Methodist symbol, the cross and the flame, only much more beautiful!! I like the combination of the gold flame over the silver cross. As John suggested, the twisted gold flame picks up the light. I've had numerous compliments. John is a great skilled and creative craftsman, not to mention a man of high standards. I feel blessed to have in my possession, a piece of his creativity.

Hi John,
Thank you so much for the beautiful ring and pendant! I was thrilled when I received them today by courier. I can’t believe how perfect they are, and how pleased I am with the final product considering we never met and I live in New Zealand!!! The only communication we had was via phone and email, but you managed to bring my ideas to life wonderfully. I would have never been able to wear my Grandmother’s rings as they were (far too small and not my style), but now I can wear the remodeled version every day and have my Grandmother’s memory with me always. I was so thrilled with the work that John did on my engagement ring, that I asked him to add a .50ct diamond to the 3 existing diamonds to make it a four stone ring. I wanted the basic design to remain the same so the addition had to compliment the existing ring. The end result was better than I’d hoped for, so much so that the ring is often admired & commented on. I’d recommend John’s work to everyone.

When my boyfriend and I began discussing marriage, I knew I wanted to have a memorable engagement ring, something different from everyone else. I was familiar with the high quality of work that John McGeorge makes as he had made other jewellery for me in the past including a ruby and diamond S shaped ring along with other dress rings and pendants. He had also made jewellery for my sister. I thought it may take a while to figure out what I liked so I met with John before there was too much talk about getting engaged.
It happened in much the same way as the other times in that; I wanted something that couldn’t be found in most store windows, I had an idea of stone shapes and colour and I knew what I did not want! John did quite a few sketches and gave me various angles of each to see what they'd be like in the flesh. I wanted a marquis solitaire high-set ring in yellow gold set on an angle.
My boyfriend met with John and chose the diamond and organized the whole thing unbeknownst to me. He was able to take my ideas, sketch and then make to perfection my dream engagement ring. I always get praise for my lovely ring when others notice it. John also made my wedding ring with 9 channel set diamonds to compliment the engagement ring. Oh and he also made my husband Michael's wedding ring. |
